Plasticity Bangkok - UN's Sea of Solutions Week

Bangkok, Thailand

Monday, 11 November 2019

Plasticity Bangkok was co-hosted with the United Nations Environment (UNEP) at their four-day SEA of Solutions Week, as the focused business day of the event.  It was attended by over 450 people, all with a collective interest of sharing and learning more about innovations and solutions for plastic in its second life, so that there is no waste.

This is the first annual partnership week convened by SEA circular – an initiative from the UNEP and the Coordinating Body on the Seas of East Asia (COBSEA), with support from the Swedish Government – to inspire market-based solutions and encourage enabling policies to prevent marine plastic pollution in South East Asia. SEA circular works in partnership with governments, businesses, civil society, development partners, academia, UN agencies and the media to solve plastic pollution at source.
