Friday, 7 June 2013

Kimberly Sutton and Kacie Wallace are attempting a stand-up paddleboard of 300 miles in a call to get parks and marinas in the area to be PDP compliant. The women and Ocean Recovery Alliance worked together at the recent Ocean Film Festival and Wallace is an Ocean Ambassador for the Ocean Recovery Alliance too. She desperately wants plastics manufacturers to take part in the Plastic Disclosure Project in order to track their products and encourage recycling to minimize waste. This paddle from South Carolina to Virginia is one of the ways in which she is trying to raise awareness.
